Medications We Prescribe
Using online consultations FirstMed is only able to prescribe low risk treatments. Psychotropic drugs such as antidepressants and anything that can be addictive are not suitable for our doctor to prescribe online.
Main treatments we prescribe:
The treatments that FirstMed prescribes are generally treatments that are difficult to get on the NHS due to budget limitations so called life style drugs on NHS prescriptions. As FirstMed is a private prescription service it does not have the same limitations as NHS doctors. Limitations include a maximum of 4 ED tablets per month such as Viagra, Also Xenical can be prescribed for weight loss to people with lower than BMI 30
To order any treatment you must complete the corresponding medical questions. On some occasions doctors may only be able to prescribe treatment safely following a face to face consultation. In these circumstances we recommend that patients see their own GP and obtain a letter from their GP indicating that they can be prescribed treatment.
After care when prescribing treatments. All patients that have been prescribed treatments by FirstMed are eligible to request information direct from the doctor if they have concerns about the medication or feel it did not have the desired effects.
All the treatments that FirstMed prescribes have been reviewed by both the MHRA and the CQC and FirstMed follows all the guidelines issued by them.
